The annual Blackpool Dance Festival in England has been completed yesterday. It has been the biggest event for Latin/ballroom dancing in the world. And I still remembered years before, Kenny & I had been competing in this event due to the encouragement from our dance teachers, Jason Gilkinson & Peta Roby. We had very satisfactory results and thanks to our teachers, Jason & Peta. 

Results for 2008 Blackpool Dance Festival - Professional Modern:

1st Place - Mirko Gozzoli / Alessia Betti (Italy)

2nd Place - Arunas Bizokas / Katsuha Demidova (USA) - new partnership since 2007

3rd Place - Jonathan Wilkins (USA) / Hazel Newbury (England) - Hazel is the former partner of Christopher Hawkins, she is one of my favour dancers, after broke up the partnership in 2004, she came back to dance with Jonathan in  Oct/2007. Certainly she has a improve a lot in her dancing and I am certain these four years is not living without a lot of hard work.

Results for 2008 Blackpool Dance Festival - Professional Latin:

1st Place - Michal & Joanna Leunis (Poland)

2nd Place - Riccardo Cocchi (USA) & Yulia - new partnership since last year. Yulia has very strong skills in her dancing, she has made dancing seems very easy but that can only be done with someone who is highly talented like her. Good dancers.

3rd Place - Peter & Kristina Stokkebroe (Denmark) - couples who has just turned professional in 2007, good skills but seems something is missing in the dancing.

4th Place - Sergey & Aqnieszaka (Poland)

5th Place - Franco & Oksana (Germany)

6th Place ) Maurizio & Melinda (Hungary)
